How to Store green tea

Three factors make the quality of green tea inferior: moisture, oxygen and ultraviolet light.
Japanese green teas are very delicate since they are not fermented and should be kept AS FRESH AS POSSIBLE. Here are two pointers to help keep green tea fresh:

1. Once you open a package, keep it in a cool dark place with a tight closure.
2. It is better to store green tea in an airtight canister if one is available.
